Eligible Measures

The Home Performance with ENERGY STAR Loan is designed to promote the installation of high efficiency measures, making your home more energy efficient. Therefore, all measures to be installed must meet minimum efficiency requirements to be eligible for financing.

Listed below are health and safety measure available for low interest rate financing through NYSERDA. These measure can either be hard wired or battery operated.

· Smoke detectors

· Radon detectors

· Carbon monoxide detectors

Benefit to Homeowner

In most cases program incentives pay for entire labor cost of job. You only pay for materials. Most materials are eligible for 30% federal tax credit. With incentives home improvements will cost less out of pocket than if you do it yourself.

New York Energy $mart Loan Fund

- Maximum loan term of 10 years

Assisted Home Performance with ENERGY STAR subsidy
Available to income qualified homeowners, as part of the Home Performance with ENERGY STAR commitment to making energy efficiency affordable to all New Yorkers
- Can be used with any loan option.
- $5,000 subsidy (maximum) available for single family homes
- $10,000 subsidy (maximum) available for 2-4 family homes based on occupants income level
- Substantial allowable income levels call for details
- Subsidy is paid directly to Contractor

- SUBSIDY PAYS FOR LABOR IN MOST CASES YOU ONLY PAY FOR MATERIALS AND GET PROFESSIONAL, GUARANTEED WORK!!
